Step Ahead col­lars have an adjustable loop, avail­able in 1, 1 1/2, or 2 inch widths.  All col­lars are fully lined in smooth satin.  Con­trol loops are always 1 inch wide.  This design res­ults in a col­lar that is more respons­ive and less bulky than con­ven­tional mar­tin­gales made with wider con­trol loops.  Both loops are dec­or­ated with match­ing or coordin­at­ing trims and/or fabrics.

Only the highest qual­ity trims and fab­rics are used.  You can choose from French jacquard, col­our­ful gros­grain, silk bro­cades, or cool cot­tons for your unique Step Ahead col­lar.  There is a huge selec­tion of styles and col­ours to suit every occa­sion and personality.

A Step Ahead: In Comfort

All of our col­lars are lined in soft, smooth fab­rics that are gentle on del­ic­ate necks.  Because the con­trol loops are always 1 inch wide, there is less bulk.

A Step Ahead: In Safety

Only solid, cast hard­ware is used as this is much stronger than hard­ware that is formed and wel­ded.  The inside of the con­trol loop is polypro­pyl­ene webbing.  This strong webbing slides smoothly and quickly across the hard­ware to tighten down quickly and provide improved per­form­ance and control.
